The Community Service Committee is responsible for helping Rancho Bernardo Sunrise decide which community organizations and projects we can support financially and by offering our members efforts in work projects.
The following is a list of organizations and projects that Rancho Bernardo Sunrise Rotary Club has supported with donations and/or with manpower. The list was compiled by Nasrin Barbee, Community Service Chair and a past RB Sunrise President.
Sikes Adobe Cleanup - members cleaned up the grounds around the adobe in preparation for the club's use of the venue for our fundraising event.
Jackets for the needy - jackets donated by members
Team Red White and Blue - Club helped by $1000 sponsorship of their event
Valley Elementary School - December Holiday event hands on project gift fair for low income family's children
Poway Valley Therapeutic Riding Center - built a shade structure ($1500 donation) and did general cleanup
Ronald McDonald House - cleaned up and organized a toy storage area
Rotary Peace Conference - donated $1000
Spirit of the 4th - sponsor ad $195
Ed Brown Senior Center - donated $1000
Rides and Smiles - donated $1000
Shelter Box - $1000 donation for disaster relief
YMCA Teens in Motion - $2000 donation
Toys for Tots - members donated toys
THanksgiving Luncheon - Paid for members to attend this fundraising event for the Rancho Bernardo Community Foundation.
