The member assigned to Who Am I is also responsible for providing the positive thought at the beginning of the meeting and introducing visiting Rotarians and guests.
The member assigned to Cheer for Rotary is the assigned Greeter for that day and also is tasked with selling opportunity drawing tickets.
Both of the events listed below in the Calendar of this newsletter now have links to the page for making a reservation. For those members who are new, this is the one club event to be sure to attend. Having attended 14 "Demotion" parties, I can attest to the fact that this is fun event. This isn't just for you as the member. My wife, Irene, enjoys this party because so many of the members of our club she now considers friends.
The District Governor's Dinner is also a great event. Beside being the place to meet Rotarians from other clubs, it is also a chance to experience what Rotary is all about in San Diego and appreciate what a great district we are in.

Polio Eradication Update
Rob Weinburg shared a story that appeared in the Los Angeles Time about the progress of the Polio Eradication effort in Pakistan - one of the three remaining countries where polio is still endemic.
