Hospitality Event at World Resources Simulation Center.
RB Sunrise Rotarians attended the Hospitaliy Event at the World Resources Simulation Center (WRSC) located at 1088 Third Avenue in downtown San Diego. Honorary member Peter Meisen acted as the host and coordinator of the computers and President elect Karen Mortimer was the hostess for the evening. President Jim Stewart welcomed the 8 visiting District Governor Elects and their spouses. He then turned the meeting over to Karen. After a meal of Greek food we were treated to a presentation by each visiting District Governor Elect who talked about their home district and what their district does either as a district or as a facilitator for projects that the clubs in the district are doing. The dessert cookies were provided by Belmont Village (via Inan Linton).
The room at WRSC is set up with small cafe tables with laptop computers that are connected to projectors that can display information on various screens that surround the room on three sides. These small tables allowed for conversations around each table.
The screens allowed each visiting DGE to show where his/her district is located and their district website.
The RB Sunrise Rotarians who attended were: President Jim Stewart (with spouse Tammy), Past Presidents Paul Sullivan (with spouse Leanne) and Narsrin Barbee (with spouse Ralph), President Elect Karen Mortimer (with spouse Bill), John Schmidt (with spouse Glee), Alison Farrin, Trudy Armstrong, Inan Linton Mary Stanton and Jim Dunny.
