At the Dec 2016 Board of Directors meeting on Thursday, several decisions involving membership were made. 

 

1. Ryan Ross sent an email to Pres. Craig to resign as a member.  Ryan has been unable to attend meetings because of an ongoing conflict with staff meetings at Rancho Bernardo Community Presbyterian Church where his is one of the pastors. As you might recall, former member Bruce Humphrey was the senior pastor at the church and retired and moved to Harrisburg, PA where he and his wife, Kate will be able to be close to his children who all live in the Harrisburg area. Ryan and other staff pastors have been doubling up since last October and now the Christmas season made it even more taxing.

 

2.  The board approved the applications for 2 new members whose names will be published tomorrow at our last meeting of the year. These new members will inducted in January which means we will start the new calendar year by adding 2 members.

 

 

In the last week, ClubRunner has updated the ClubRunner Smartphone App for the Club Version of ClubRunner.  Changes include:

1. The club locator function has been retired. (this function never worked well and duplicates a function of the RI Club Locator app.

2. The member directory now includes member photos.  (Now with your smart phone you have access to the club member directory wherever you are.  Great for those times when members are car pooling and the need to contact a member arises.)

3. Website stories that are saved in the Story Library are now posted and available for viewing on the ClubRunner App.

 

To download this app:  Go to the Apple App Store or Google Play and use the search function and enter ClubRunner.  This will bring up the app.  Click on "download" to install it on your phone.  The app is free.

 

 

Twice a year, RI requires clubs to verify member information.  Please go to the website and check the information in your profile. Make any corrections that are needed.  (I found a fax number in my own profile that was no longer valid)  I sent an email to all members with instructions on how to make changes.
