On Friday, March 22, 2019, Paul Gorman sent an email to President Mike Moffat, Jim Dunny and Mary Stanton. In that email he announced that he has is joining a Rotary Club in Dallas, Texas. You may recall that Paul told us at the beginning of the year that he was moving to Dallas. While he was searching for a Rotary Club to join in Texas, he remained a member of RB Sunrise Rotary Club.
In order for Paul to join another club, he had to resign from our club. His message to us was his official resignation so that he could join the Rotary Club of Dallas Uptown. The website for Dallas Uptown Rotary Club indicates that the club was chartered on May 26, 2009. I am certain that this relatively young club will be pleased to be able to induct Paul as a member. He will enrich his new club with his ability as a leader, especially in the area of funraising and networking with other clubs for funding Rotary Foundation projects.
Paul was instrumental in enhancing RB Sunrise Rotary's District and Global grant experience. He also shared that expertise with other clubs in our district.
I am sure that we all miss Paul and wish Paul and Bobbie all the best in their new location in Texas.

In May 2019, North American Rotarians will travel to Mombasa, Kenya for a life changing experience. Have you spoken about or heard a Rotarian speak about their personal experience participating a work on a humanitarian grant? These trips have a profound effect upon the individual. For those of you who have gone on one of these trips you know, and for those of you who have yet to enjoy this experience, you should.
The East Africa Project Fair is endorsed by Rotary’s Reach Out to Africa Committee (ROTA), who is trying to generate greater connectivity between the African and North American Rotarians to generate greater support of the projects of Africa. This committee needs your help, leadership and motivational skills, to generate awareness, interest and action to support these projects. Further, projects fairs are an expanding program, encourage by Rotary and The Rotary Foundation as an extraordinary opportunity for clubs to find viable, qualified humanitarian projects.
Recently, the trustees of the Rotary Foundation announced that District Grant funds could be used for travel to a Project Fair.
The hope is that you can participate. However, even if you are unable to join us this year, please feel free to announce this program in your club and District over the next month, get it on websites, and get it in newsletters. Encourage your members to participate – help Rotary Be the Inspiration.
