Military Family Christmas Toy Collection
Tomorrow morning we will be visited by several active duty Marines. They will be collecting the toys that our club has collected via Sue Herndon's effort to help needy local military families. For over 5 years, Sue has organized, sought donations and the purchased toys for distribution by the US Marine Corps.
The Marines who will be visiting with us tomorrow morning will come prepared to carry all of the toys that our club and others have provided for this outreach to needy Marine Corps children.
Thanks to Sue for spearheading this program and to everyone who either provided gifts or donated money so that Sue could purchase the gifts.
End of year verification of your membership information. Your help is required!
At the end of the calendar year and the end of the Rotary fiscal year, Rotary clubs are tasked to verify the information in their membership roster. Since we have our membership roster information on our website, you can verify that your contact and other information in your membership profile is correct. When you correct your contact and other information on our website, you will be automatically updating that information on the Rotary International membership database and the District 5340 membership directory for RB Sunrise Rotary.
To view and update your membership profile information on our club website, do the following:
1. log on to RB Sunrise Rotary. (If you don't remember how to log on, click on the member login link on the top right side of the website home page.
2. Enter your login name and password. (if you don't remember your login name and/or your password click on the link at the bottom of the login screen. Your login name and a password reset link will be sent to the email address you have listed to receive this newsletter. )
3. To verify your profile information, click on the Member Area link that will be present on the top right side of the home page. Click on this link. This will take you to the Admin page.
4. On the Admin page, look under the My ClubRunner list of links. The first link in this left side column of links is the "edit my profile" link. Click on that link.
5. When your profile information page loads, look at all the contact information. If you need to change or update any of the contact information, click on the Edit button. Make all of the changes or corrections. When you have completed the entry of the changes, be sure to scroll to the bottom of the page and click on Save Changes.
6. There are multiple tabs at the top of the profile pages. Please click on these tabs to also update the information there. The same procedure for entering information is used for these other pages including the requirement to Save the changes when you are finished.
Since our club adopted ClubRunner in July 2008, our membership database has been very accurate. This is because, as a member, you can view and make necessary changes as needed any time your contact information changes. Before ClubRunner, the club membership roster information was always a problem because individual members could not correct their own information. Rotary International adopted electronic updating of their membership database via data integration with ClubRunner membership data. This was don in Nov 2010. Since then, RI has even changed the submission criteria for the Semi Annual Report and invoicing for Rotary International dues. For the last 2 years, the club invoice has been calculated on the basis of the information in the membership database on Dec 31 and June 3o every year. Your verification of your profile information insures that our club dues invoice is correct because we no longer can make changes once the invoice arrives from RI.
Dec 2016 RB Sunrise Board of Directors Meeting
The next Board of Directors meeting is Thursday, Dec 15, at 6 pm. The meeting location is Craig Brown's office, Skyline Home Loans. Skyline Home Loans is located just north of the McDonald's Restaurant on the west side of Bernardo Center Drive. All members are welcome to attend board meetings. If you are planning to attend, please email Craig to let him know you are coming because food and seating planning.
