Jim Tenuto Gives Tips about Social Media for Business
Jim Tenuto spoke about using Social Media in Networking at the August 16, 2019 RB Sunrise Rotary Club.  He is the President and Owner of Renaissance Executive Forums – San Diego, a peer advisory service for top executives and CEOs.  His Forum groups are where business owners go to get their questions answered.  Jim sits on the College of Business Administration Advisory Board for California State University San Marcos, the board of Poway Onstage, and serves the Chairman of the Board of 6 Degrees, San Diego’s premiere networking organization.

Jim started out by talking about the value of having Connectors in one’s social network.  Connectors are people who have access to an extensive network of people to connect with other people. They are an incredible resource to have and are a valuable asset when negotiating or needing information in making a business decision.

Jim then talked about how to present yourself in Linkedin to maximize your exposure to potential employers and other interested parties.  He made the point of not putting your title behind your name, but talk about what you do, what  is your purpose, why you are here, and where you are doing it.

Jim then spoke about a Social Selling Index that measures your professional brand, connecting to the right people, building relationships, are you doing the proactive things to be recognized, and are you commenting on things?  Why do we care about that score? If you share your personal brand, you have more exposure, stay connected and build relationships.

Jim ended by talking about having rules around your social network, what you will accept and not accept.  Your social network is your personal network; it’s just another tool in your toolbox to use to your advantage.

Rancho BEERnardo Sponsor Tools

BEERnardo Sponsorship drive is here!!

Last week, Gordy sent the Sponsorship Form and event Fact Sheet to you. Click the links below to get the Sponsorship Tools.

One tool is a "cover letter" that you can customize by adding your contacts name and address (open and look at it!! You will see what I mean) for all your friends, family members, neighbors & business owners in the area that you are emailing or mailing the sponsorship requests to.

Other tools are two versions of the "Sponsorship Form" and event "Fact Sheet" for you - one is both documents combined into (1) 3-page document, and then in case you want to print some - the same documents are attached a two separate documents. (Just in case you lost that last email)

Our goal is to raise $75,000+ this year. That is 50% more than last year. We have more Rotarians this year than last year, and the event has growing momentum... With the event being moved to Webb Park we will be establishing a phenomenal annual event for our community. It should be easier than ever for you to bring in those Sponsors!!

Remember, the best way to get more sponsors is to ASK.  In person and by phone, you never know which one of the people you interact with each day is just waiting for the opportunity to participate.

Thanks in advance - this years BEERnardo will be the best yet!!

Let us know if you can think of something that will help us all promote this event and find this years Sponsors.
